Tanabe - Cooling Plate
During circuit testing for suspension development, the development staff became concerned about the stagnation of lap times as the number of laps increased.
After conducting exhaustive tests, they speculated that the cause was the increase in temperature in the engine room due to "heat dissipation from the turbine." They began working on the development of parts aimed at maintaining performance.
Through various trials and errors regarding the shape and mounting locations that would yield better results, they finally completed the Cooling Plate.
Results from unique wind speed tests and temperature measurements in the engine room showed a cooling effect of up to -4°C.
Designed specifically for each vehicle model, the fitting is excellent, and installation is easily achieved with a bolt-on design.
Thanks to high streamlining effectiveness, it efficiently directs fresh air to the turbine located behind the engine.
