The original exhaust system developed for motorsports, SUPER MEDALION RACING is engineered for power.
One of the first exhaust systems constructed completely of SUS304 stainless steel when first released, Super Medalion Racing's power gains and extended drability remain the standard for the varying stages of highly competitive motorsports.
Straight through, straight form design is purpose built for power. Mandrel bent, SUS304 stainless piping is of the highest specification for flow and durability.
A unique feature of the "SM Racing" is the riveted main muffler, which can be rebuilt and overhauled so that the system may be enjoyed for the life of the vehicle.
For competition-minded driving enthusiasts.
Now with ADVANTEX performance exhaust technology!

Advantex is a highly advanced muffler packing material that greatly excels over other packing material types such as loose packed fiberglass mats and composite cube types. Advantex internal packing material allows the muffler to reduce sound more, with less material, while maintaining extremely high flow characteristics. Tanabe was one of the first Japanese aftermarket companies to create full SUS304 stainless steel exhaust systems many years ago. The highest grade SUS304 stainless is used on all systems for maximum durability, as well as lightweightedness. Our experience in developing SUS304 systems has allowed us to reach a high level of craftsmanship in this field.
Specially engineered for use on our exhaust systems, a piping wall diameter of 1.2mm was developed, which allowed weight to be significantly reduced, while remaining durable for extended useage. The piping SUS304 piping also plays a role in sound output, as it reduces resonation and helps our systems produce their trademark low, deep tone.
Because every bit of weight savings is beneficial, exhaust hangars have hollow construction to reduce weight.
Further weight reduction is acheived and utilizes through the use of pressed SUS304 exhaust flanges on portions of the exhaust system.

Minimizing bends is a goal of each custom built Tanabe exhaust system. The truest form is realized to minimize restrictions and maximize useable power gains. Where necessary, the piping is mandrel bent for improved exhaust flow characteristics.

The removeable silencer reduces sound output to be well within 95db sound output regulations on street vehicles. Included with the exhaust system, the silencer installs and removes easily for various driving needs.

Tanabe exhaust systems are well known to have one of the most unique exhaust notes available. A trademark of the Tanabe exhaust system the extremely clean, low, deep tone that is both pleasant and aggressive at all RPM ranges. Designed for motorsports, this exhaust system is also fully streetable and is built to be under 95db when used and installed as a factory replacement exhaust.
